Scenic Drives

Take a scenic drive through the winding Ozark mountain roads, stopping to soak in the dramatic vistas unfolding before you. Many of the area’s scenic byways are incredible during the fall.

 

Rated one of ten top motorcycle routes in the U.S., the Pig Trail features amazing natural beauty with Mystic Caverns, Withrow Springs State Park, and the Wild and Scenic Mulberry River.

This route features great views of the water. Ride over the Little Golden Gate Bridge spanning the White River and the Dam at Beaver Lake. It will take you just under an hour. Take a break at Anglers Grill at Highway 187 and Highway 62 before heading back to Eureka Springs.

The Jasper Route takes you through the Buffalo River National Park. Drive across the 1930’s iron truss Pruitt Bridge and see one of the greatest concentrations of free-grazing elk in the country. Stop at the Elk Education center to learn more about these magnificent creatures and how they came to make their home in Arkansas. Sit with the locals at the Ozark Cafe on the town square in Jasper.

Visit one of the nation’s premier trout fisheries at Roaring River State Park in Missouri. If you want to get really wild, stop and tour Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge, home to rescued big cats.

From Eureka Springs take Highway 23 South to Highway 12 and follow it to War Eagle Mill. The 57 mile War Eagle Ride takes you to War Eagle Mill, Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge, and Hobbs State Park.

A 177-mile drive includes a stretch of Arkansas road on Highway 123 known as the Dragon’s Tail. Interesting stops along the way include the Buffalo National River, Lost Valley State Park, and the Historic Harrison Square.
